ABOUT KIM

It’s so much easier to write my characters’ fictional life stories than my own background. But here goes:

I was born and raised on the Southwest side of Chicago and lived most of my life in Northern Illinois. A few years ago, I gave away my down parka and moved to the milder climate of Georgia with my husband, son, and assortment of formerly stray cats.

My first published book was the young adult fantasy novel, Stones of Abraxas. It was followed by two nonfiction books about the dictators Muammar Quaddafi (Libya) and Slobodan Milosevic (Yugoslavia). Then I teamed up with my aunt, the popular psychic advisor Louise Helene, to offer love and relationship advice in I Saw Your Future and He’s Not It: A Psychic’s Guide to True Love. I’m currently writing adult fiction, young adult fantasy, and middle grade humor.

When I’m not writing, I teach college-level political science courses, read, and watch too much TV.

I love to hear from readers! If you want to get in touch, please send an email to me at Kim (at) this website (KOsbornSullivan.com). I do school and library visits, so if you’d like to invite me to visit your community, please let me know.
